Clarion is known as “The Autumn Leaf Capital of the World”. Each fall the forests around Clarion County are bursting with nature’s kaleidoscope of color featuring bright crimson, orange, and gold leaves, reflecting off the waters of the Wild & Scenic Clarion and Allegheny Rivers.
The 62nd Annual Autumn Leaf Festival, “Clarion: A Canvas of Color,” will be held from September 26th to October 4th in downtown Clarion. This huge 9-day internationally award-winning festival attracts over 500,000 people to Clarion County and is the traditional kickoff to the fall season in the PA Great Outdoors region. The schedule of events and entertainment this year include the spectacular Tournament of Leaves Parade, Autorama cruise-in, antique tractor show, farmers and crafters day, carnival rides and amusements, fantastic food, live music, and much more. In addition to the events sponsored by the Clarion Area Chamber of Commerce, many local organizations also sponsor over 40 additional events during the festival.
