With Autumn comes the harvest from the bounty of summer. With the holidays just around the corner, we have compiled a must-visit list for the wineries in Pennsylvania’s Great Outdoors region.
- Allegheny Wine Cellars at Briar Hill Rustic Furniture in Cook Forest. Be sure to sample their famous “Bigfoot Shadows” wine.
- Bear Creek Wines near Kane. They are a rustic winery bordering the Allegheny National Forest.
- Benezette Wines in Benezette. Home of the Legend Old Fred #36.
- Cook Forest Wines at MacBeth’s Cabins in Cook Forest. Enjoy locally made wines on the banks of the Clarion River.
- Copper Fox Winery in St. Marys. “Elk County’s most fun winery.”
- Elk Mountain Winery in Weedville. Home of the famous Jackass Red wine.
- Golden Hill Winery in Weedville. All flavors are fermented and bottled onsite.
- Rich Valley Wines in Emporium. Traditional dry, semi-sweet fruits, and sweet wines.
- Sugar Bush Winery in Wilcox. If you like your wines dry, give them a try.
- The Winery at Wilcox. Home of Clarion River Red.
