On August 30, 2019, the digital guide to wines & spirits, TheFiftyBest.com announced the winners of the flavored moonshine tastings. A nationwide contest with a pre-qualified panel of judges blind-tasted the flavored moonshines rating them individually on a 1 – 5 point scoring system, with 5 being the highest. After tallying the scores, medals were awarded based on the judges’ impressions.

The Fifty Best is pleased to announce that Blackbird Distillery Hot Cinnamon Shine was awarded a Gold Medal and the Blackbird Distillery AppleBlack Shine was awarded a Silver medal.

Congratulations to Blackbird Distillery from everyone at the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau. Blackbird was the only distillery in Pennsylvania to win this honor. They are located just off Maplevale Road in Brookville.
