One of the most exciting elements of the recently redesigned VisitPAGO.com website is the itineraries feature, which makes it effortless for visitors to the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors region to plan their getaway. You can choose to take advantage of one or more preset itineraries to guide your time here, or you can create your own itinerary by selecting the activities and destinations that most interest you.
Currently, the site offers eight featured itineraries, each of which covers a set of family-friendly highlights for a particular area or interest. “Walk with the Animals” introduces visitors to the famous Punxsutawney Phil, the friendly deer you can pet and feed at the Double Diamond Deer Ranch, hungry fish ready for snacks at the Lewis Painter Memorial Trout Nursery, the majestic elk throughout Elk Country, and more. “Spend Two Memorable Days with the Kids in Cook Forest” includes stops at Pale Whale Canoe Fleet, Kalyumet Fore Fun, Cook Forest Fun Park, Beartown Rocks, the Mysterious Maze, and the Forest Cathedral, among other destinations. Other featured itineraries focus on adventures in Brookville, Clarion, Punxsutawney, Emporium and Sinnemahoning, Allegheny National Forest, and Elk Country.
To set up a customizable itinerary, create a login at VisitPAGO.com/register, then as you navigate the site and find destinations, events, and businesses you want to explore during your trip, click the “Add to Itinerary” button found on each page you’d like to include. This will generate a personalized page you can access on your computer, smartphone, or mobile device with convenient links to each stop along the way.
With either option, you’re sure to end up with the perfect vacation schedule for you, your family, and friends, full of opportunities to make memories you’ll never forget.
