Life and Independence for Today or LIFT, is having a Fine Arts and Culture Exhibition on October 5 from 11 am – 9 pm at the Elk County Catholic High School.

One can wonder what all could be included in an event with this name and it is so much more than the name can explain. Hope Weichman, Deputy Director for LIFT in St Marys explains it as, “LIFT is bringing together a plethora of culture for one day, under one roof.” The event is divided into 3 sections: Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Culinary Arts. Fine Arts includes photography, woodcarving, painting, sketching, and pottery. Performing Arts includes hourly performances by vocalists, musicians, dancers, and actors. Culinary Arts will include caterers, cake decorators, candy makers, wineries, distilleries, and breweries. There will be tastings and products for sale. LIFT is dedicated to the empowerment of all people with disabilities in Elk, Cameron, Jefferson, and three other neighboring counties.

Take some time out of your schedule and join in for this event on October 5. A small entrance fee of $8 will afford you the chance to experience all 3 sections. Treats for the eyes, the ears, and the palate. Find more information on this event and may other things that are happening in the PA Great Outdoors region at VisitPAGO.com/events.
