At one time or another we have all wondered what it would be like if we could fly. Maybe this is why man has always been fascinated with flight and air shows are so popular. Clarion County Airport will host the Fire, Smoke, & Sparks Air Show with two days of activities for aviation enthusiasts on August 12th and 13th. Friday gates open at 3PM and on Saturday at 10AM.
There are many things to see and experience for both young and old including plane rides, sky diving exhibitions, displays, demonstrations and more. Friday evening, oldies band American Pie will be in concert. Manfred Radius will perform a special night flight featuring exciting glider aerobatics. Saturday morning there is a Fly In/Drive In Breakfast from 8AM until 10AM. Beautiful classic and custom cars can be seen at the Knight Cruisers Car Cruise from Noon until 4PM.
Experience the wild thrills of Billy & David Werth. Billy does low level acrobatics and David joins him on his motorcycle. You can even ride in a D-Day Veteran Aircraft, a C-47A Dakota. Don’t pass up a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of history. Flight of Titan T-51D Mustangs will offer dog fights, formation flying, and aerobatics. Things will really heat up when the flame-throwing Tulsa County Heat Wave jet powered dragster performs and a C-123 “Thunder Pig” will be on display.
