There are plenty of fall-inspired wines to expand your palette this season. Here are a few wines to sip as the season begins.

Pumpkin Wine
As soon as the first day of fall approaches, it seems like pumpkin-flavored everything hits the shelves. Although pumpkin-flavored wine isn’t quite as common as a latte, there are still a few wineries in the PA area that feature this fall-inspired flavor.

Pinot Noir
Probably one of the most well-known wines when it comes to fall weather, but still an essential. Light to medium-bodied reds, like Pinot Noir, become the perfect compliment to harvest foods. It’s also a great wine to have on hand when you’re having a girls night in! The Winery at Wilcox features an excellent oak-aged pinot noir that pairs well with fall season foods.

Mulled Wine
As the weather cools down, there’s nothing better than being cuddled up with a warm mug of mulled wine. Mulled wine is perfect for any holiday gathering you have coming up. Elk Mountain Winery in Weedville sells a Hillbilly Holiday variety that’s great when you warm it on the stovetop. This red blend has a sweet cinnamon touch that will warm you from the inside out. Deer Creek Winery makes Grandma’s Apple Pie, inspired by homemade apple pie — yum! Keep an eye out for this one, which will soon be sold in the Deer Creek Winery. Until then, stop by our main location if you want to try it out yourself!
