The Pennsylvania Great Outdoors region consists of five distinct counties, each proudly displaying their rich heritage and history. The region boasts many historical attractions and museums that offer visitors plenty of opportunities to take a step back in time.

Trail tunnel built in the 1870s, expanded to 608 feet and reopened with major upgrades in August 2018 as part of the scenic Redbank Valley Trail.

More than 300 historically significant internal combustion engines depicting 150 years of development of Industrial America. Located in Coolspring, Rt. 36.

From Benezette, follow Gray Hill Road 3.3 miles from its intersection with Route 555. The Cross on the Hill Interfaith Memorial stands on a hill overlooking the Spring Run Valley.

Incredible collection of mechanical musical instruments. Calliope, band organs, music boxes, nickelodeons, orchestrions, more. Gift shop. April-October. Closed Mondays. Off-season by appointment.

One of the smallest churches in the U.S., measuring 12 feet by 18 feet, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places built by Michael Decker in 1856.

Completed in 1880. Three story red brick and stone with slate roof. The clock and bell tower stand 60 feet above the roof line.

Comprised of two museums and a historical chapel. The Victorian Center House and Robinson Museum house thousands of artifacts for Elk County's illustrious history.

Completed July 1870 for $24,715. 1884 murals of Lady Justice and Lady Liberty completed by Schlaug and Streif were restored in 2006.

1875 Victorian Eastlake-style home filled with artifacts from Native Americans and early settlers, tools, products from county businesses, and genealogies of local families. New Replica Lumber Camp.

On the National Register of Historic Places, built between 1873 and 1875, half brick and half sandstone with a 97-foot-tall square battlement tower.
