The Pennsylvania Great Outdoors region consists of five distinct counties, each proudly displaying their rich heritage and history. The region boasts many historical attractions and museums that offer visitors plenty of opportunities to take a step back in time.

Explore acres of Mountain Laurel. Pavilion, benches, and a driving loop to view Pennsylvania’s State Flowers, which feature beautiful pink and white blooms in June.

On the Allegheny River at Tionesta, 22.5-acre island, open to public use, offers a boat launch, fishing pier, one-mile walk/bike trail, and Sherman Memorial Lighthouse.

Displays a number of tools used by the wood hicks (lumbermen) as well as barge builders. Includes photos from the Collins Mill in Nebraska and the Wheeler and Dusenbury Mills in Newtown and Endeavor.

Stone walkway featuring 600-plus granite plaques honoring local veterans, a Civil War monument, a special "Veterans' Walkway" and "Citizens' Walkway" informational kiosk, and antique gristmills.

Tribute to unsung heroes of coal mining industry, those who lost their lives in the mines and those who spent their lives in the mines.

The science and folklore of weather comes alive with fun interactive exhibits, theater, and gift shop in a historic building.

Includes 730 homes, businesses and churches featuring Millionaires' Row. Structures built from 1855 on, in an incredible variety of styles. Maps at Ridgway-Elk County Chamber Main Street.

Hiking trail through 67 engraved boulders carved by Douglas M. Stahlman in the early 1900s, including Chapel Rock, where he lived and penned his journals. Pet friendly, picnic area.

Pennsylvania's only inland working lighthouse, 55 feet tall, 16 feet diameter, and seven stories. Open for public tours several times each year.
