With spotty cell service in some of the more remote regions of Elk County, visitors can find traveling without help from their cell phones challenging at times. They often stop at local businesses asking for a county map and directions.  The Elk County IT/GIS Department, Elk County Planning Department, the Elk County Commissioners, and PA Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau worked together to produce new Elk County Wayfinding Maps to help visitors navigate throughout the county.

The large inside map features all of Elk County with townships, roads, trails, waterways, and eighty-five attractions.  On the back panels visitors will find detailed maps for Benezette/Weedville Area, Johnsonburg Borough, Ridgway Borough, and the City of St. Marys.  Many local attractions and annual events are also highlighted.
