The Allegheny National Forest (ANF) is Pennsylvania’s only National Forest. Visitors can enjoy hundreds of miles of trails designated for hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, dirt bike, and ATV riding. Outdoor recreation includes camping, kayaking, boating, fishing, hunting, picnicking, and photography.

Easy 1.4 mile well marked and maintained self-guided providing access to Twin Lakes Hiking Trail, connecting the Mill Creek and Brush Hollow Trails.
Scenic trail along Big Mill Creek with three loops totaling 7.7 miles for skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. The trail-head offers parking and restrooms.
15 ponds with 11.2 miles of trails offering exceptional wildlife viewing. Important link on the Atlantic flyway waterfowl migration path. Cross-country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, hunting, and fishing.
The ancient Forest Cathedral of towering white pines and hemlocks is designated as a National Natural Landmark and is a short hike on Longfellow Trail from the Log Cabin Environmental Learning Center.

FOTL-ANF is a nonprofit dedicated to improving, beautifying, sustaining, and preserving Twin Lakes Recreation Area in the Allegheny National Forest for current and future generations.
