Relax by spending a day paddling or floating down one of our two federally designated National Wild & Scenic Rivers that meander through the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors region. Our pristine mountain streams, lakes, and rivers teem with trout, bass, walleye, musky and more.

Hundreds of miles of trails designated for hiking, biking, equestrian, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ATV riding. Outdoor recreation including swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, picnicking, and camping.

Pool 9 is the most upriver pool. Nine miles of deepwater unlimited horsepower boating. Fish: walleye, musky, catfish, and bass.

Federally designated river offering many opportunities including public access, boating, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, wildlife watching and wilderness camping.

The Seneca named this area "where the water separates the land." Seven islands totaling 368 acres are designated as part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. Primitive camping permitted. 

100 acres on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Swimming pool, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and SnowFest first Saturday in February.

40 miles of seasonal paddling in the heart of Pennsylvania's Wild Elk Country with five public launches. Best during spring and fall. Stocked with trout each spring.

Public pool with shallow and deep-water swimming, changing rooms, food, and lifeguard on duty. Operated by Clarion County YMCA.

Class I kayaking, tubing, canoeing, fishing, and views that feature steep hills, mature trees, and diverse wildlife. See Clarion Water Trail map.

Paddle the lower Clarion River and walk or bike the Allegheny River Trail to where the Clarion empties into the mighty Allegheny River.
