Cameron County Selfie Scavenger Hunt

1. Bucktail Overlook: Also called “Top of the World” and the Mason Hill Overlook with commanding 360-degree panoramic views of Sinnemahoning watershed and dark skies that are perfect for star gazing.

2. Bucktail Monument: A memorial to the Bucktail Regiment, known for their marksmanship, who answered President Lincoln’s call for volunteers during the Civil War.

3. George B. Stevenson Dam: 145 acres popular for kayaking, canoeing, boating, and fishing, with an ADA-accessible fishing pier.

4. Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning State Park: Educational state-of-the-art interpretive exhibits, opportunities to view eagles, elk, and other wildlife.

5. Little Museum: One of PA’s Top 10 seasonal museums. More than 15,000 items including tools and photos from lumbering and dynamite industries, personal effects from Tom Mix and General Joseph McNarney.

6. Cameron County Canvas: Beautiful murals throughout Emporium that depict county residents and military personnel.

7. West Creek Trail: 19-mile rail-trail from Emporium to St. Marys for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

8. Sizerville State Park: 386 acres surrounded by nearly a half-million acres of state forests with hiking, horseback riding, and snowmobile trails.

9. Wykoff Run Natural Area: 1,215-acre natural area in the Elk State Forest with 4.8-mile hiking loop, Quehanna cross-country ski trail, and two stunning waterfalls along Wykoff Run Road.

10. Cameron County Courthouse: Built July 4, 1890. Original courtroom still has seats used by the Bucktails, alongside the rare “unblindfolded” Lady Justice who sees all.
