We’ve compiled a list of activities and fun places to visit in the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors region that won’t cost you a penny and are sure to entertain adventurers of all ages! (Things you’ll actually want to do!)

  • Snap some pictures and win some cash!  We are thrilled to announce the PAGO Photo Contest running through the end of 2019 with a new theme each quarter.  Now through August, submit your Outdoor Adventure pictures for a chance to win cash prizes.  September-November, we’ll be accepting fall pictures.
  • Imagine yourself sitting around a crackling fire with your family and friends.  With virtually no light pollution, you can see billions of stars in the night sky.  Plan your getaway in a cabin buried in the woods and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Cabins & Vacation Rentals
  • Horsing Around!  Ride your horse amongst wild elk or exploring the vast expanse of the Allegheny National Forest.  Outfitters and guides provide enjoyable experiences for all levels of riders.  Camping is also available along with private stables near Cook Forest.
  • Make a splash!  Endless opportunities for cooling off in the hot summer heat.  Explore one of the nationally designated Wild & Scenic rivers (the Allegheny or the 2019 River of the Year, the Clarion) by canoe, kayak, tube, or boat.  Water skiers will love the lakes offering unlimited horsepower and you can’t beat the scenery!  Drop your line in one of the clean mountain stream teeming with a large variety of fish including trout, walleye, bass, and many more!
  • Festivals, Fairs and Celebrations are plentiful this time of year!  The best part of being in a small town is celebrating big!  Come celebrate with us and make some memories!  Event Calendar.
