Event Details

Join us for a FREE introduction to kayak wildlife watching! The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will be
partnering with PA DCNR State Parks to provide individuals with an opportunity to learn basic kayaking and wildlife
watching skills. Kayaks, life vests, and paddles will be provided. Some binoculars will be available to borrow, but it is
highly suggested to bring your own pair!
Participants must be 12 years or older to participate. Please dress for the weather. Kayaking is a wet sport, please
expect to interact with water. Close-toed shoes are required. There is a good chance your shoes will get wet and/or
muddy. Kayaks are limited and registration for this program is required. Registration can be completed through the
DCNR or PFBC Event Calendars.
After an on-land discussion of kayaking equipment, basic instruction, safety, and tips for wildlife watching, we will
enjoy a nice leisurely paddle around parts of East Branch Lake in search of the wildlife that lives here. We will be off
the water at 5:30pm. You will be notified of the exact meeting location after registration.
