If you want new places to hike or bike, the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors region is blessed with hundreds of miles of marvelous trails awaiting your exploration. From flat, leisurely rail-trails to steep, rugged mountain routes, the variety here will appeal to everyone from young families to adventure racers. The Redbank Valley Trail, Pennsylvania’s first Trail of the Year, and many others throughout the region offer year-round usage for hikers, mountain bikers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and more.

38 miles of trails. Connects to the Marienville ATV Trail. Camping is permitted along the trail and at the Twin Lakes Recreation Area. Motorbikes and snowmobiles also permitted.

10-mile hiking trail along the Clarion River linking Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Parks with scenic overlooks and vistas.

Home of the Black Cherry National Recreational Trail and fishing pier. Bathhouse pavilion, swimming, and picnic areas open from May to September.

Scenic hiking and biking 4.2-mile crushed-limestone trail with four bridges between Brockway and Falls Creek. Parallels Route 219 on former Pennsylvania Railroad Line 651.

Interpretive 3/4-mile easy hiking trail, encircling 81 acres of prime elk-viewing habitat with educational panels featuring artwork from local high school students.

1,215-acre state forest natural area in the Elk State Forest with 4.8-mile hiking loop, Quehanna cross-country ski trail, and two stunning waterfalls along Wykoff Run Road.
