Tionesta is a charming town located on the banks of the Wild & Scenic Allegheny River. The Market Village is a must-see attraction that offers shoppers a collection of local merchants offering a variety of handmade treasures. Early summer, is Firefly season when the night is fielded with a spectacular synchronized light show in the Allegheny National Forest. Each July, cowboys and cowgirls compete in the 3-night outdoor Allegheny Mountain Championship Rodeo. The town’s Native American heritage is celebrated each August with the Tionesta Indian Festival. Tionesta boasts Pennsylvania’s only in-land functioning lighthouse, which open for tours several times per year.
